Fair and Transparent Remedies for Trade Buyers

We understand that despite rigorous pre-shipment inspections, issues can occasionally arise in transit or at production level — and when they do, we are committed to resolving them fairly, efficiently, and without unnecessary delay. This Return & Refund Policy establishes clear and commercially fair remedy mechanisms for trade buyers who receive defective, materially non-conforming, short-supplied, or incorrectly described goods.

1. Eligibility for Returns and Refund Claims
A return or refund claim is eligible for processing under the following conditions: the goods received are materially different from the confirmed product specifications — including base metal, plating colour (gold vs rhodium), plating thickness, stone type, design, or brand; the goods show manufacturing defects not visible at the point of dispatch — including plating patches, stone loss, broken clasps, bent earring hooks, uneven enamel in Meenakari work, loose Kundan stone settings, or structural faults; the quantity delivered is short of the invoiced quantity; or the goods were damaged in transit due to inadequate carrier handling rather than buyer negligence post-delivery.
Claims arising from buyer-initiated mishandling, exposure to water, chemicals, or perfume, improper storage, or normal wear of fashion jewellery over time are not eligible. Claims based on subjective dissatisfaction with a product that matches its confirmed specifications will not be accepted.

2. Reporting Window and Process
All return or refund claims must be formally reported to JewelryWorld.in within seven (7) calendar days of delivery. To initiate a claim, buyers must submit: the order number and relevant invoice reference; the SKU and batch identifiers for the affected goods; a clear written description of the issue; and high-resolution close-up photographs clearly documenting the defect, damage, or discrepancy. For short-supply claims, the delivery receipt and carrier documentation must be included. Goods subject to a claim should be retained in their original condition and packaging where possible, as they may be required for return inspection. Claims submitted after the seven-day window will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at JewelryWorld.in's discretion.

3. Claim Evaluation and Resolution
Upon receipt of a complete claim submission, our quality team initiates an investigation reviewing pre-shipment inspection records, carrier documentation, and the photographic evidence provided. We aim to complete the initial claim assessment within 3 to 5 business days of receiving a complete submission. Based on investigation findings, we will propose one of the following resolutions: a replacement shipment covering the defective or missing pieces at no additional charge; a partial credit note or invoice adjustment for minor discrepancies that do not materially affect the usability of the batch; or a full refund of the amount paid for the affected goods where the entire batch is confirmed as unusable for its intended retail purpose.

4. Return Logistics and Authorisation
No goods may be returned to JewelryWorld.in without prior written Return Authorisation from our Customer Support team. Upon approval of a return, a Return Authorisation Number will be issued and must be clearly marked on all return packaging. Where the return is caused by a manufacturing defect or our supply error, JewelryWorld.in will bear the cost of return logistics. Where the return is attributed to buyer error — incorrect SKU ordered, change of mind after acceptance — return logistics costs are the buyer's responsibility.

5. Refund Timelines
Approved refunds are processed within 7 to 14 business days from the date of final claim approval, via the original payment method or as an agreed credit note applicable to future orders. For international buyers, refund processing timelines may be extended by 3 to 5 additional business days due to cross-border banking procedures. A full reconciliation document explaining the refund calculation is provided to the buyer upon processing.

JewelryWorld.in invests significantly in pre-shipment quality inspections and batch-level verification to minimise the incidence of claims — across all three brands and all craft categories, from Orooba's handcrafted Kundan bridal sets to Ziloo's mass-market fashion earrings. We maintain detailed documentation for every shipment, enabling rapid identification of root causes when issues arise. We track claim patterns across our brand and artisan partner ecosystem to identify and address systemic issues before they affect future buyers. Our goal is to make returns and refunds the exception — never the rule.
